Ozark County Library

The Ozark County Library is all-volunteer and non-profit, with charm and atmosphere echoing that of the one-room-oak-floor schoolhouses of days gone by. Located across the street from the Gainesville Post Office, near the intersection of highways 5 and 160, it serves Ozark County with a diverse collection of more than 20,000 books, videos and audio tapes. Frequent donations of reading material by residents and visitors to the
County, including books written about county history and early life here, provide an ever-changing panorama of topics. A comfortable reading room and well-stocked children’s corner makes this a wonderful place for a quiet family outing. There are three public access computers available and free internet WiFi throughout the building. In the lower level, a used-book sale room helps support the operation of the library. Come and visit this local treasure for a chance to relax and enjoy yourself in a totally stress-free environment.
